What is a Feild?Well, the spelling rules in english can be a bit confusing. Many times on the Paintball boards you see posts that ask "Does anyone know of good indoor Paintball Feilds in Texas?" Or, "I'm trying to open a paintball feild - what bunkers should I use?" Perhaps the spelling of Field vs Feild is caused by that ole' rule, "When two vowels go a walking, the first one does the talking." That is why "PLEASE" is not pronounced "PLAZE" But any time we have the letters I & E together, we must remember the other old saying, "I before E except after C or sounded like A as in Neighbor or Weigh".
